We are Urban Sketchers Miami, a local group of sketchers located in South Florida. We provide free events to explore and sketch together as a group. We are an official chapter of
Urban Sketchers, a global, all-volunteer, non-profit organization.
We are excited to share our hobby of sketching on location, gain new members, explore South Florida together, and to connect with other local artists and organizations. This site will feature summaries of our events, details about upcoming events, photos of our sketches, and much more.
As part of Urban Sketchers, here is the rules we follow when we sketch:
The Urban Sketcher’s Manifesto
- We draw on location, indoors or out, capturing what we see from direct observation.
- Our drawings tell the story of our surroundings, the places we live and where we travel.
- Our drawings are a record of time and place.
- We are truthful to the scenes we witness.
- We use any kind of media and cherish our individual styles.
- We support each other and draw together.
- We share our drawings online.
- We show the world, one drawing at a time.
